Full Plate Collection, by Irene Ziegler is a comedy with music and pays homage to our cultural female icons. In the play, Betsy Crockpot, Rosie Riveter, Boopsie Bleep, Auntie J.J., and Babs the Grown-up Doll come to life, and over a game of poker, comment on their experiences as influential women who never existed.

Dear Reader of new works,

I hope you will consider for development my new play, Full Plate Collection, which just finished its premiere showcase at Barksdale Theatre in VA. It requires a cast of eight women (can be done with more) and a simple unit set. I have attached a few pages, a letter of recommendation, and two reviews. I have a video-recording available, should we get that far.

As for me, I'm an author, actor, playwright and producer. My previous play, Rules of the Lake, won the Mary Roberts Rinehart Award, and was produced by Theatre IV in Richmond, VA. I have written two books of fiction, and edited seven monologue anthologies published by Smith & Kraus books. I have extensive acting credits in regional theatre, and in film/TV (www.imdb.com). I produce Virginia Arts & Letters LIVE, where VA actors read short stories by VA writers.
